The Veteran Affairs Nursing Scholarships also known as Nursing Scholarships va; is an annual Scholarship program offered by the U.S Department of Veteran Affairs.


This scholarship is known to be very competitive and is strictly awarded to nursing students only.

Eligibility requirements for the Nursing Scholarship va:


All the eligible applicants must be enrolled in, or accepted for enrollment in, an accredited nursing school or are currently enrolled in one.


Applicants must be a citizens of the United States and pass a background investigation


Scholarship Value:


The scholarship is pretty straight forward. The VA will pay tuition, books, most fees, and provide a monthly living stipend of approximately $1,153 a month (tax-free). Upon graduation and passing the NCLEX/certification the nurse will automatically be pipelined into a VA nursing residency program for one year where he/she will be able to enhance their skills and gain valuable nursing experience. After completing the nursing residency the newly trained nurse will have a minimum service obligation to the VA of at least 2.5 years where they get an opportunity to help take care of people.



The Sole Aim:


The program, which is located in the United States, helps prepare nursing students to meet the VA qualification standards for employment in the occupations listed by the U.S department of veteran affairs.

Application for this scholarship program is partially closed. All new applications will be considered for the Summer/Fall 2022 classes. The Scholarship Portal is open year-round.
