With the new Andor trailer revealing the presence of Saw Gerrera from Forest Whitaker, the resistance fighter will set an impressive Star Wars record.
New future presence of Saw Gerrera revealed Andor Impressive trailer sets star Wars Record that few other characters manage to make it. Played by Forest Whitaker, Saw Gerrera is a relentless resistance fighter who has spent nearly his entire life fighting against the tyranny of the galaxy. Now, it looks like the character George Lucas first portrayed will reach a major milestone in star Wars canon.
First appearance in animation clone wars series, Saw Gerrera was a resistance leader On Planet Onderon. With the help of Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan KenobiAnd the Ahsoka Tanu, Gerera and his forces fought against the separatists and their mechanized armies who were seeking to take over the planet. After the Empire rose from the ashes of the Republic, Guerrera continued to fight, having formed a group of rebels known as the Partisans. Although the Rebel Alliance viewed its methods as extremely violent and brutal, Saw Gerrera believed in the dream of freedom at any cost, until his death in Jedha after the Empire’s Single Reactor test for a new Death Star (as seen in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).
Now, it looks like this new prequel series will reveal Saw Gerrera’s role in the birth of The Alliance (likely before he was described as a paranoid extremist). As we saw in the new Andor tractorStellan Skarsgård’s new character, Luten Rael, reunites with Saw in the hope of gathering the heroes to fight back. However, the appearance of Gerrera in Andor Sets a record with the emergence of the letter in Sharia star Wars Movie, video game, books, comics, every Canon animated series, and now this upcoming live series. It’s a very rare feat that only the smallest number of characters have been able to achieve in the distant galaxy.
Why is Saw Gerrera so important to the Star Wars Canon
Go beyond the fun details that Jorge Lucas Guerrera created as his lead character incomplete Star Wars: Underworld Live Event Series Before the Disney era, Saw was very important to me star Wars canon because of what it represents. Relentless in his dream of freedom, Sao was driven all his life to achieve victory at any cost. As such, it was viewed by many Allied leaders as too radical and capricious to support what they considered their more noble methods. but, Andor They are likely to reveal the hypocrisy of those opinions. While the Alliance may seem more noble and heroic on the surface, the threat to the Empire has forced the rebels to get their hands dirty in its early days while there are still killers and shadow agents working in the shadows (such as Cassian Andor in rogue one).
Understanding that war often requires brutal methods born of desperation and the need to do whatever it takes to survive (and win one day), Sue is arguably more honest in his fight against the Empire than the Separatists before her. As such, it would be interesting to see how the rift between his forces and the Rebel Alliance would develop. In any case, Saw Gerrera will maintain a rare position in star Wars canon when Andor Coming to Disney+, he appears in every form of media out there in the galaxy far, far away.
Andor Its first three episodes release September 21 on Disney+.
